I've always envisioned carving a large, singular sunflower that showcases vibrant, permanent color in its petals, harmoniously complemented by the gentle curves of its leaves and stem. The flower is adorned with gold and copper leaf that truly "pops" in the sunlight! Even the back of the flower has been intricately carved and finished with gold leaf to enhance its rich coloring. Crafted from Portuguese and Portland limestone, this sculpture was an incredible joy to carve!
